Job Title: HR Administrator (Recruitment Focus – Built Environment)
Location: London (Hybrid/Flexible options available)
Salary: £35,000 per year

About the Role:
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced HR Administrator to join our London-based team, working within a busy civil and structural consultancy in the built environment sector. The focus of this role is recruitment — both managing external agency relationships and leading internal talent sourcing efforts.

You’ll play a key role in helping us attract high-quality candidates across engineering, technical, and business support roles. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands the pace and challenges of hiring in the built environment and is confident headhunting the right people for the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end recruitment processes across the consultancy

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with recruitment agencies, ensuring quality and value

  • Take an active role in internal recruitment — including headhunting candidates via platforms like LinkedIn and job boards

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role needs and advise on effective sourcing strategies

  • Write and post job adverts, review CVs, schedule interviews, and manage offers

  • Maintain accurate recruitment tracking and reporting

  • Support wider HR functions as needed, including onboarding, contracts, and general admin

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in an HR or recruitment-focused role, ideally within the built environment or professional services

  • Comfortable managing both agency recruitment and direct candidate sourcing/headhunting

  • Strong knowledge of hiring for technical roles (e.g., engineers, CAD/BIM technicians, project managers)

  • Organised and detail-oriented with strong communication skills

  • Able to manage multiple vacancies at once and work to deadlines

  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a well-established consultancy with a strong reputation in civil and structural engineering

  • Play a key role in growing a talented, high-performing team

  • Friendly, collaborative culture with flexible working options

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

  • Pension and other benefits
