Job Title: Contract Land Surveyor – Civil Infrastructure (Pylon Projects)

Duration: 12 month contract

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Land Surveyor to join our team on a contract basis. You’ll be working on large-scale civil infrastructure projects, specifically focused on the installation of pylons (electricity transmission towers) on site. This is a hands-on role requiring accurate surveying to support the safe and precise positioning and erection of structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out detailed site surveys using GPS, total stations, and other modern surveying tools.

• Set out positions for pylon foundations and structures based on design drawings.

• Verify and record as-built data to ensure construction is in line with project specs.

• Liaise closely with site engineers, project managers, and design teams.

• Ensure all work is completed to required accuracy and within project deadlines.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate survey records and reports.

• Follow site safety procedures and reporting protocols.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Land Surveyor on civil or infrastructure projects (pylon or overhead line experience is a strong plus).

• Competent with surveying equipment – GPS, robotic total stations, and digital levels.

• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

• Able to work independently and as part of a site team.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• CSCS card (or equivalent safety certification).

• Full UK driving licence (or local equivalent).

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in utility, energy, or transmission line projects.

• Familiarity with CAD software and digital survey processing tools.
