Job Opportunity: Streetworks Co-ordinator

Location: Slough (initially 5 days a week in the office, then hybrid 2/3 days at home)
Salary: £29,957 – £39,569 (depending on skills and experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (Initial Contract Role)

Are you ready to take on a vital role in ensuring the successful coordination and management of street works activities? 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Streetworks Co-ordinator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain efficient working practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of street works activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including NRSWA 1991.

  • Liaise with local authorities, contractors, Highways England, and internal teams to obtain necessary permits and approvals for street works activities.

  • Monitor and track progress of ongoing street works projects, providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Action TTROs within a 2-hour response time.

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement effective project plans for street works activities.

  • Conduct site visits to assess and resolve any issues or challenges related to street works (no need to be on the work site themselves).

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all street works activities, including permits, notifications, and reports.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines throughout the street works process.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Previous experience in the utilities industry, preferably in a street works coordination or related role.

  • Strong knowledge of street works legislation, regulations, and permit processes.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and street works management software.
