Principal Mechanical Engineer

A leading M&E consultancy is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Principal/Associate Mechanical Engineer to join their Surrey office. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional with a minimum of seven years’ industry experience, capable of running medium-sized projects and excelling in client-facing roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage medium-sized engineering projects from inception to completion.

• Develop, design, and coordinate engineering project services while maintaining strong client relationships.

• Design and specify mechanical building systems, equipment, and components.

• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and structural engineers to ensure project success.

• Provide expert technical advice, problem resolution, and technical audits of deliverables.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of seven years in the industry, with sector experience in commercial, hotel, retail, and hotel design.

•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in project management and innovative project work.

•  Strong technical knowledge in building services design, particularly in the data centre sector.

•  Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership, with a degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.

• Commercially aware, hands-on approach, and ethical conduct in line with the Ethics Charter and Practice Guidelines.
