Due to significant project wins throughout the region, several unique opportunities have arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineers with a proven background in MEP Building services for data centre / critical systems projects in the MENA region.

THE ROLE

• Carry out site surveys for new build data centers 

• To liaise with all subcontractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information. 

• To check and approve material submittals with respect to Technical Design 

• Providing technical support for incoming enquiries and queries 

• Keeping in regular contact with existing customers 

• Evaluate client enquiries, specifications and drawings 

• Prepare and participate in the review of and submit Technical and part of the Commercial responses to the highest standards of accuracy, presentation, and punctuality and in accordance with company standards and client requirements 

• Prepare and participate in the review of and in submission of technical and commercial clarifications and revised bid documents as required through the tendering process 

• Attend client, supplier and third-party meetings on and offsite as necessary 

• Understanding/knowledge of electrical equipment, financial aspects and technical risk 

• Report and communicate activities effectively and appropriately. 

• Conduct site surveys to put together the reports 

• Engage directly with consultancy (Data Centre audits, best practices etc) 

• Work both within an office environment and onsite 

• Confidently deliver critical infrastructure professional services offering across the complete project lifecycle 

• Work closely with other areas of the business and key staff to overcome complex client requirements

Candidate Experience and Qualifications

• Knowledge of UTI certification process & criteria 

• 3+ years of data centre infrastructure (MEP – Power/ cooling) experience

• Excellent work ethic and proactive individual

• Capable of working under own initiative and as part of a team

• Excellent English skills -written and verbal.

• Detailed mechanical engineering knowledge from design through to installation, commissioning and handover.

• Able to prioritize tasks and manage time, to meet tight project deadlines

• Ensure smooth management of the projects.

• Ability to carry out site surveys and develop concept to schematic designs

• CAD/Revit proficiency

• Working knowledge of Uptime Tiers & TIA 942-B – ATD.

• Willingness to travel in the region (KSA, UAE, Bahrain and other GCC countries)

• Experience with data centre testing and commissioning
