Associate Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects | Southampton (Hybrid)

We’re seeking a driven and experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join our growing Mission Critical team in Southampton, delivering cutting-edge Data Centre projects across the UK and internationally.

Your Impact:
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the electrical design and delivery of high-performance, high-availability data centre projects. You’ll work in collaboration with world-class engineers, architects, and clients, driving technical excellence from concept through to commissioning.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead electrical engineering design across all project stages—from feasibility and concept design through to construction and commissioning

Deliver robust LV and MV electrical systems, including power distribution, backup systems, UPS, lighting, and containment

Manage and mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams

Ensure designs meet client specifications, project requirements, and industry standards

Oversee project timelines, budgets, and quality standards

Act as a key client contact—building trusted relationships and ensuring successful outcomes

Support bids, team resourcing, and technical development across the team
What We’re Looking For:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Chartered Engineer status (or working towards CEng)

Strong experience in electrical design for Data Centres, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial/industrial projects

Proficiency in tools such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, and AutoCAD

Excellent understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (BS7671, IEC, etc.)

Clear communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
