We are a specialist independent building services consultancy, currently expanding our team. We work across a variety of sectors including residential, mixed-use, and healthcare projects. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic design team in Buckinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Excellence: Provide effective mechanical designs, conduct surveys, and prepare feasibility reports and specifications.

  • Site Supervision: Manage mechanical services installations, ensuring compliance with health and safety, QA, and environmental policies.

  • Technical Expertise: Prepare AutoCAD drawings and design calculations using industry-leading software (e.g., Hevacomp).

  • Report Preparation: Assist in preparing feasibility studies, design reports, specifications, and contract administration.

  • Knowledge Maintenance: Stay updated with current standards and legislation.

  • Client Interaction: Attend site surveys and client meetings, implementing technical standards and supporting business development.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations.

  • Project Management: Undertake detailed site surveys and design reviews, report on both mechanical and electrical disciplines, and assist with financial control of projects.

  • Mentorship: Mentor and assist graduate engineers.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum HND level qualification with at least 6 years of UK building services design experience.

  • Skilled in 2D and 3D CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or Bentley AECOsim.

  • Experience with IES modelling software is advantageous.

  • Knowledge of BIM Level 2 and BIM project deliverables structure.

  • CEng qualified or working towards CEng, with membership in professional bodies like CIBSE, IMECHE, or IET.

  • Full UK driving license required.
