Role Overview: As a Senior Power Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and optimizing power systems for data centres. Your expertise in simulation software and power system analysis will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Simulation Expertise:
-
Conduct load flow analysis for optimal power distribution.

Perform short circuit analysis to assess system integrity.

Coordinate protection systems to enhance reliability and safety.

Execute arc flash studies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

Conduct harmonic studies to optimize system performance.
-

Collaborative Design Support:

Work closely with design teams to understand project requirements.

Transient Stability Studies:
-
Contribute to the resilience of power systems under dynamic conditions.

Documentation and Reporting:
-
Validate input data for accuracy in simulation results.

Prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations and design considerations.

Maintain up-to-date documentation related to simulations and design support.

Continuous Professional Development:

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Contribute to the improvement of simulation methodologies and tools.

Role Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Engineering.
-
Proven experience in power systems engineering, preferably within the data centre industry.
-
Proficiency in ETAP (preferred), DigSilent, or SKM.
-
Experience with Load Flow, Short Circuit Analysis, Protection Coordination, Arc Flash, Harmonic Studies, and Underground Cable Sizing.

Experience in Transient Stability Studies and Earthing Studies is desirable.
-
Deep understanding of electrical machines, including generators, transformers, motors, and UPS.

Experience in LV, MV, and ideally HV systems up to 132 kV.

Strong knowledge of power systems control and SCADA systems.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
