We’re seeking a Category Manager – Mechanical to lead procurement strategy and master scheduling for mission-critical data center projects. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind ensuring supply chain resilience, speed of delivery, and scalability across multi-million-dollar infrastructure programs.

The Role

This is more than procurement –  it’s about owning the full lifecycle of critical mechanical systems and ensuring flawless execution from sourcing to commissioning.

Key focus areas include:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical mechanical and MEP systems.
Drive supplier negotiations, dual-sourcing, and risk mitigation strategies.
Oversee Master Production Schedules (MPS) aligned with demand forecasts.
Manage Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment from purchase to commissioning.
Partner with Engineering, Construction & Operations to ensure seamless project delivery.
Optimize logistics, shipping, rigging, and storage for large-scale equipment.
Lead supplier scorecards, KPIs, and performance improvement initiatives.
Implement digital transformation in procurement & planning workflows.

About You

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field (Master’s a plus).
✔ 5+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within data centers, cloud, or mission-critical infrastructure.
✔ Deep knowledge of mechanical systems and data center construction supply chains.
✔ Proven track record managing high-value contracts (>$50M).
✔ Skilled in ERP/APS tools (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
✔ Excellent negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
✔ Willingness to travel to data center sites, vendors, and industry events.
