An industry-leading consultancy is seeking Senior and Principal Electrical Building Services Decarbonisation Consultants to join their dynamic team. The Opportunity

You’ll be part of a collaborative team of building physicists, sustainability consultants, carbon and energy specialists, and BIM modellers. Together, you’ll deliver technically excellent, low-carbon solutions across a wide range of sectors.

Your Role

Whether you’re stepping into a senior position or already leading teams, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading projects from feasibility to completion.

• Developing and implementing decarbonisation strategies for new and existing assets.

• Conducting life-cycle carbon and cost optioneering assessments.

• Enhancing analytical tools and economic models to optimise energy, carbon, and financial performance.

• Collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver integrated, sustainable design solutions.

• Contributing to digital transformation through automation and data-driven design.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project elements across multiple workstreams.

• Provide technical input and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Support junior engineers and ensure design quality.

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to meet project objectives.

️ Principal Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead MEP teams across local, national, and international projects.

• Drive client engagement, fee proposals, and commercial discussions.

• Oversee project delivery, resource planning, and team development.

• Mentor engineers and uphold high standards of design and innovation.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or similar.

• Chartered Engineer status (IET, CIBSE) or working towards chartership.

• Proven experience in electrical systems design within complex building projects.

• Strong track record in decarbonisation strategy development.

• Familiarity with energy performance standards, low-carbon technologies, and sector-specific regulations.

• Experience in multidisciplinary teams, ideally with exposure to sustainability, carbon modelling, and digital design tools.

• For Principal level: Demonstrated leadership in project delivery, client engagement, and team development.
