Senior Engineer

My client are a specialist engineering and construction contractor with a strong presence in marine and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a busy 2025 project pipeline, they’re looking for a Project Engineer to join their expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with 1–3 years’ experience in civil, marine, or heavy construction to develop both technically and professionally. The role combines hands-on site work with pre-construction and delivery responsibilities, offering exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle.

The role:

• Support tendering and pre-construction engineering, developing client requirements into practical, costed solutions.

• Produce and manage site documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans.

• Assist with design drawings, temporary works, and site surveying activities.

• Liaise with operations and fabrication teams to bring designs to life on site.

• Support project managers in planning, safety, and technical coordination.

The person:

• Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (BEng/MEng).

• Around 1–3 years’ experience in civil or marine construction, with hands-on site exposure.

• Confident communicator and team player with problem-solving ability.

• Competent in Microsoft Office, AutoDesk, and structural design packages.

• Understanding of Eurocodes, BS, and CDM 2015 regulations.

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
