My client are an established and rapidly expanding engineering contractor delivering major civil, marine, and renewable energy projects throughout the UK. With significant growth forecast for 2025, they are now seeking a Senior Engineer to take a leading role within their engineering department.

 

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and project oversight across tender, pre-construction, and delivery phases. You’ll work closely with project managers, operations, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

 

The role:

  • Oversee and approve engineering calculations, technical assessments, and project documentation.

  • Lead and coordinate small to medium-sized projects from concept to completion.

  • Support site operations, ensuring engineering design is effectively implemented on site.

  • Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

 

The person:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (MEng/MSc preferred).

  • Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in construction or marine engineering, with strong on-site experience.

  • Proficient with Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant design codes (PIANC, DNV).

  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.

  • Knowledge of CDM 2015 and health and safety best practice.

  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to UK project sites.
