Commissioning Manager – Building Performance & Compliance
Location: London or Oxford (with travel to project sites as required)

Are you an experienced Commissioning Manager with a passion for ensuring building systems operate at peak performance? Our client, a leading consultancy known for their expertise in commissioning management across various sectors, is looking for a dedicated professional to oversee and manage commissioning processes on diverse projects.
With a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and collaboration, this role offers the chance to work on high-profile projects, ensuring they meet stringent performance criteria and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee commissioning activities from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets.

Develop comprehensive commissioning strategies, plans, and schedules tailored to each project’s unique requirements.

Conduct thorough commissioning reviews, ensuring designs are practical and meet performance standards.

Lead on-site and off-site testing, including factory acceptance tests, and document results meticulously.

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients to coordinate commissioning activities and resolve issues promptly.

Ensure all commissioning processes adhere to relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

Produce detailed progress reports, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and solutions.

Oversee post-occupancy evaluations, seasonal testing, and soft landings to ensure sustained building performance.
What We’re Looking For

Proven track record in commissioning management, particularly within building services or related sectors.

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with CIBSE, BSRIA, BREEAM, and LEED guidelines.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading meetings and coordinating diverse teams.

Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.

Relevant engineering qualifications; CSA Level 4 certification or equivalent is advantageous.
