Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centres | Midlands (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Mission Critical team in the Midlands, helping to deliver world-class Data Centre projects across the UK and internationally.

Your Role:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the electrical design of mission-critical facilities, working closely with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll be a key contributor to major projects, delivering technical excellence and innovation from early-stage design through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead electrical designs for LV and MV systems including power distribution, standby power, UPS systems, lighting, fire alarm, and containment

• Oversee the full project lifecycle—from feasibility studies to detailed design, site support and commissioning

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery

• Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing technical outputs and providing guidance

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. BS7671, IEC)

• Support technical input for proposals, bids, and design strategy meetings

What You’ll Bring:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• Chartered Engineer status or working towards (CEng preferred)

• Proven experience in electrical design for Data Centres, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial/industrial projects

• Strong working knowledge of design tools such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, and AutoCAD

• Familiarity with CDM regulations and health & safety in design

• Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
