Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centres | Midlands (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Mission Critical team in the Midlands, helping to deliver world-class Data Centre projects across the UK and internationally.

Your Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the electrical design of mission-critical facilities, working closely with clients, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams. You’ll be a key contributor to major projects, delivering technical excellence and innovation from early-stage design through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lead electrical designs for LV and MV systems including power distribution, standby power, UPS systems, lighting, fire alarm, and containment

Oversee the full project lifecycle—from feasibility studies to detailed design, site support and commissioning

Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery

Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing technical outputs and providing guidance

Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. BS7671, IEC)

Support technical input for proposals, bids, and design strategy meetings
What You’ll Bring:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
-
Chartered Engineer status or working towards (CEng preferred)

Proven experience in electrical design for Data Centres, critical infrastructure, or large-scale commercial/industrial projects

Strong working knowledge of design tools such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, and AutoCAD

Familiarity with CDM regulations and health & safety in design

Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
