Are you a technically skilled and client-focused professional with a passion for building services and project delivery? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a prestigious FM consultancy in London as a Technical Projects Associate within their dynamic M&E Projects Division.
This role offers the chance to work on high-profile commercial and public sector projects across some of the UK’s most iconic buildings, delivering infrastructure upgrades, Cat A & B refurbishments, and strategic advisory services.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage M&E projects from feasibility to handover, including tendering, contract documentation, and financial oversight.

Deliver technical advisory services across commercial offices, shopping centres, and public sector properties.

Conduct condition and pre-acquisition surveys, plant audits, and statutory compliance reviews.

Prepare clear, concise technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.

Oversee contractor performance, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money.

Support the development of internal systems and mentor junior technical staff.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, promoting the division and identifying new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
-
Strong understanding of mechanical services in buildings, including BMS and controls.

Proven experience in project management, technical consultancy, and financial control.

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – with the ability to produce high-quality reports and present to clients.

Experience with performance specifications, tender evaluations, and contract administration.

Knowledge of current building regulations, British Standards, and statutory obligations.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
-
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Energy Engineering (BEng/BSc).

Working towards or achieved Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE preferred).

Background in consultancy, M&E contracting, or public sector estates.

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Amtech, Hevacomp, and lighting design software (Dialux/Relux).
