The Role
We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with strong experience in roads, drainage, earthworks, and utilities to join our growing Development Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for delivering infrastructure projects from concept through to delivery, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to master-planning and enabling works across a broad range of sectors including regeneration, education, industrial, health, aviation, and recreational developments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage civil engineering projects, ensuring high‑quality technical delivery and client satisfaction.
Take ownership of commercial project performance including cost control, fee forecasting, and financial reporting.
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and engage with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to skills development and technical problem-solving.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements (CDM 2015), quality systems (ISO 9001 & 14001) and internal governance.
Support business development through tenders, proposals, and technical presentations.
Technical Experience & Expertise
You will ideally bring experience in:
Roads and access design to local standards, Manual for Streets, and DMRB.
Surface and foul water drainage strategies and detailed design, including attenuation and SuDS.
Earthworks, cut/fill analysis, and utilities design.
Planning & technical approvals (including S38 & S278 applications).
Flood Risk Assessment preparation across flood zones.
Software proficiency: InfoDrainage, MicroDrainage, Civil 3D/AutoCAD, Navisworks, KeySIGN, and vehicle tracking software.
Experience & Qualifications
Typically 8–15 years’ experience delivering civil infrastructure projects.
Confidence in running projects independently from early-stage design through construction.
Chartered status (or working towards it) is desirable.
