Vice President, Data Center Operations

Join a fast-growing tech leader building next-generation data infrastructure. We’re looking for a visionary VP of Data Center Operations to lead global data hall operations and deliver world-class performance across our mission-critical environments.

This executive role will oversee all aspects of infrastructure performance – from equipment uptime and capacity planning to technician management and operational excellence across a global data center footprint. You’ll shape the long-term strategy, drive standardization, optimize cost, and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team.

What You’ll Do

• Set and drive the strategic direction for global data center operations

• Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics for uptime, capacity, and cost

• Oversee incident response, problem resolution, and change control at scale

• Manage global teams of technicians and site operators – promoting consistency, safety, and accountability

• Collaborate with internal design, construction, and network teams on expansions, migrations, and critical maintenance

• Build business continuity and disaster preparedness plans for all facilities

• Foster a people-first culture by empowering frontline teams and developing strong operational leaders

• Continuously improve processes, reliability, and performance across all sites

✅ What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in data center operations, with at least 5 years in senior leadership

• Experience overseeing >20MW facilities in high-growth or hyperscale environments

• Proven success managing global teams and standardizing operations at scale

• Strong leadership mindset with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams

• Deep knowledge of incident response, capacity planning, and critical systems

• Strategic thinker with financial acumen, able to link operations to business goals

• Resilience under pressure with an ability to balance tactical urgency and long-term planning

Bonus Points For

• Experience with GPU clusters or high-performance computing environments

• Background in hyperscale data centers or cloud service provider infrastructure

• RCDD or data center-specific certifications (CDCP, ATD, etc.)
