Job Title: Facilities Manager
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000
Location: South Kensington, London

A well-established and prestigious Property Management company in London are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join their growing team. 
As the Facilities Manager you will help protect the long-term value of a high-end mixed-use property portfolio and be responsible for ensuring buildings and services are compliant, safe and suitable for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Faciliites Manager:

  • With the daily operations of the Estate in accordance with the company’s strategies, long term vision, agreed budgets and relevant legislations.

  • With quality, delivery and budgets of building related services and contractors, including maintenance, cleaning, security and environmental, with focus on providing a safe working environment.

  • To ensure maintenance contract administration is up to date.

  • To deliver any environmental targets

  • With the risk assessment process; ensures efficient data collection, accurate recording, driving actions to resolution and plans timely audits i.e. fire, water, asbestos and general assessments.

  • With the utility meter readings, manage all utility related queries, authorises utility related invoices.

  • With reviewing annual property and service charge budgets; identifying any unusual planned works that may need to be included in service charge budgets.

  • With developing and tendering services for the Estate.

Responsible for:

  • Ensuring there are regular inspections of ongoing maintenance works and being aware of indirect works or other factors which may potentially affect the Estate physically or socially – drives action; proactively tracks any issues to resolution.

    • Updating Quooda regularly with notes and comments as applicable to the relevant day-to-day activities.

    • Reviewing quotes and approving or querying supplier invoices for works directly instructed.

    • Attending relevant departmental and company meetings to broaden knowledge and understanding and add value; actively contributing to discussions.

    • Auditing and inspecting supplier delivery in relation to quality and value for money.

    • Providing best in class customer service to internal and external customers; including maintaining regular and effective communication. 

Skills & Knowledge

 

  • Confident and able to deliver, advise and make decisions on all areas of facilities management with minimal supervision, including legal and best practice compliance.

  • Self motivated and committed to continual professional development to remain current and up to date with all areas of facilities management. 

  • Personable, results driven, organised, resilient, self-motivated and resourceful; able to develop and strengthen given areas of responsibility by embracing change, technology and new opportunities.

  • Proactively builds productive working relationships; excellent communicator, collaborator and service provider to colleagues, customers, contractors, suppliers and other key stakeholders. 

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen; able to translate and confidently interrogate and report on data and financials in the context of the business and sector. 

  • Passionate about sustainability, environmental best practices and health and safety.
