About the Company:
Join a leading specialist air conditioning company based in Berkshire. We provide top-notch installation, maintenance, and Design solutions for both commercial and residential clients. Our projects span across the South East, covering a wide range of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor or Manager to enhance our growing team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all health and safety practices across our projects comply with current legislation and industry best practices. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, engineers, and clients to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site inspections and audits on air conditioning and M&E projects.

Identify potential risks and provide practical advice to mitigate them.

Develop, implement, and update health and safety policies and procedures.

Deliver toolbox talks and health and safety briefings.

Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation and company standards.

Investigate accidents or near-misses and produce detailed reports.

Maintain and update risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and COSHH assessments.

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies as required.

Stay updated with new legislation and industry changes.
Required Experience and Skills:
-
Proven experience in a Health and Safety role within the M&E sector.

Good understanding of the risks and requirements specific to air conditioning or HVAC work.

NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) – essential.

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Full UK driving licence – required for site visits.
Desirable:
-
Experience working with subcontractors and managing safety on multi-site projects.

Membership of IOSH or similar professional body.
-
Knowledge of CDM regulations.
